Stop Smoking - one special session lasting 2 hours

    

 In the past you might have tried all kinds of things such as will-power, patches, gum, tablets(!)

Hypnotherapy is officially the best form of treatment in the world for stopping smoking.

At the bottom of this page is a link to the report printed in New Scientist in 1992 and approved by Which? magazine.

With the new laws coming into force in 2007, with large fines for smokers who smoke in the wrong places or for people who let them smoke in the wrong places, it makes good sense to just stop.

Your therapist (Peter) used to smoke and has gone through the phases of craving, then being an ex-smoker and then finally a non-smoker i.e. not even thinking about cigarettes, much in the same way as most people don't crave or even think about rhubarb!

The format of the session

I'm interested in all the bad things that have happened to you: divorce, bereavement, illnesses, worries, fears etc. in fact all the stressful events (past & future) that make you want to smoke to relieve the stress of thinking about them. I fill in my standard questionnaire with each client  and highlight the concerns you have. Everything you tell me is completely confidential and nothing is stored about you on the computer.

Using this format I have helped over 300 people stop smoking, without the usual side-effects of over-eating or getting stressed. We will look briefly at the  points in your life that were uncomfortable for you and I'll show you some very simple techniques to minimise their effects on you. I'll also tell you the reason that you smoke - it's usually a surprise to most smokers - it isn't that it is a habit or an addiction. I'll show you a fast technique for killing cravings dead - it's so good for you that you will want to do it rather than smoke!!

I'll explain to you about how hypnotherapy works - we then do the stop smoking part whilst you are very deeply relaxed in trance. Then I'll show you how to do self-hypnosis, so that you can always help yourself to be very relaxed, every day, without a cigarette.

Once you have stopped smoking you will easily recoup the cost of the session within a few weeks - your health is much more important than money. A packet of 20 costing an average of 5 per day = 150 per month, 1800 per year.

By applying some of that money to stop smoking you can use the rest for what you want, rather than paying even more tax than non-smokers. To see me for a 2 hour session will take 6.1% of your 1800 = 110.

In terms of finance and health you just can't lose - 85% of clients stop smoking first time, live longer and are about 1700 richer after the first year. Every assistance will be given to you in the session to help you stop, all you need to do is to be in a positive frame of mind about the advantages of stopping smoking.
